Beginning Monday morning, The Little Pioneer School will enter a new chapter as a nonprofit childcare program, operating alongside Pioneer Pathways to provide ABA therapy and expanded behavioral health services for children and families in our community.
This moment has been years in the making.
When we first opened our childcare center, we quickly began to see where the greatest need was. We met families searching for answers, children who needed more individualized support, and parents traveling long distances or waiting far too long to access services.
That need helped shape the direction of our work.
Since then, we have remodeled our facility, built a clinical team, and established Pioneer Pathways in the behavioral health field. What began as a childcare center has grown into something much larger than we first imagined.
The Little Pioneer School will continue to offer a small, limited-capacity nonprofit childcare program Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We will no longer accept state childcare subsidies, but families interested in available space are welcome to send us a message.
Pioneer Pathways will continue providing full- and part-time ABA therapy and behavioral health support through our team of six Board Certified Behavior Analysts. We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicaid.
This is more than a change in our program. It is the next step in a vision shaped by the families we have served and the needs we have seen firsthand.
We could not be more excited to bring nonprofit childcare, ABA therapy, and behavioral health services together under one roof and continue serving Palestine and the surrounding communities.
