If your child struggles with reading, do not let someone tell you they will catch up. Without explicit, intensive reading intervention, the gap grows wider. Call and let us tell you how we can help your child close that gap!
The Matthew Effect in reading is a powerful reminder of why early support matters. 📚
When children become stronger readers, they read more, build vocabulary, gain knowledge, and continue to grow. When children struggle with reading, they often read less, which can cause the gap between them and their peers to grow over time.
But this is important: the gap is not inevitable.
Early identification, explicit instruction, and timely intervention can change a child’s reading trajectory. We don't need to wait for children to fail before giving them the support they need.
The earlier we recognize a reading difficulty and respond with effective instruction, the better. 💛
