We're proud to celebrate 2nd grader Max P., who was recently accepted into the Davidson Institute's Young Scholars program, which is a nationally recognized program that supports exceptionally gifted students.

In this photo, Max is holding a heartfelt note to his former 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Larsen, thanking her for believing in him and writing the recommendation that made this opportunity possible.

Max's mom, Brooke, shared that everything changed after he came to Quest Academy. "He was so happy," she said, and Mrs. Larsen "brought everything academically to the right level for him."

At Quest Academy, we know that gifted students thrive when they're challenged, understood, and encouraged by teachers who recognize their unique potential. Max's story is a beautiful reminder of the lasting impact a caring educator can have.

Congratulations, Max! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see where your talents take you next. ❤️⚔️

🏆 National recognition for a Quest Academy Inventor!🏆

We are thrilled to share Quest Academy seventh grader Vibhuti V. earned 2nd Place nationally in the 7th Grade Division at the 2026 RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals held at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan!

Selected from among 513 of the nation's top young inventors, Vibhuti was recognized for her invention, AXIS (Autonomous eXcavation Information System), which is an innovative technology designed to transform archaeological excavations by automating excavation mapping, creating more accurate digital records of artifacts and excavation layers, and reducing the time-consuming manual work archaeologists face in the field.

AXIS also generates QR code labels for artifact bags, helping researchers track, organize, preserve, and archive discoveries while reducing the risk of theft or loss.

In addition to her national runner-up finish, Vibhuti received the "Manufacturing & Tools" Industry Award and was awarded a patent application from WilmerHale Law Firm, recognizing the innovation and real-world potential of her invention.

Quest Academy was proud to have eight students represent the school at Nationals, which was the largest delegation of any Illinois school competing at this year's event. Vibhuti's remarkable success exemplifies the creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving spirit that our students bring to the world.

Please join us in congratulating Vibhuti on this extraordinary achievement! 👏🎉

🎓 Celebrating the Quest Academy Class of 2026! 🎓

Our graduates are heading to an incredible range of high schools next year, and we couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments, growth, and readiness for the journey ahead.

This year's matriculation reflects the many pathways our students have chosen:

🏫 63% will attend public high schools
🌎 31% will attend boarding schools
🎓 6% will attend private day schools
✨ Less than 1% are still exploring their options

From local public schools to nationally recognized boarding and independent schools - including schools whose alumni have gone on to become innovators, leaders and changemakers, our graduates are pursuing paths that match their unique strengths and aspirations.

Congratulations to the Quest Academy Class of 2026! Your curiosity, resilience, and hard work have opened doors to amazing opportunities, and we can't wait to see all that you'll accomplish next.

❤️🖤🤍🩶Once a Quest student, always a Quest student.

Congratulations to recent Quest Academy 8th grade graduate, Portia D., on earning the Overall Top Prize at this year’s Illinois Invention Convention!

Portia’s award-winning invention, MycoMesh, is an innovative system that combines underground sensors and a mobile app to detect fungal colonization, moisture levels, and nutrient changes in soil. By providing researchers with a more comprehensive and less intrusive way to study underground fungi, MycoMesh has the potential to advance environmental research and deepen our understanding of critical ecosystems.

Portia’s creativity, scientific curiosity, and commitment to solving real-world challenges exemplify the spirit of innovation we celebrate at Quest Academy.

She is currently representing Illinois at the National Invention Convention in Dearborn, Michigan, and we wish her the very best as she competes on the national stage.

Congratulations, Portia, on this extraordinary achievement! We are incredibly proud of you! 🎉

Congratulations to recent Quest Academy graduate Sean R. on earning 1st Place in the 8th Grade category at the Illinois State Invention Convention!

Sean’s award-winning invention, MediGuard Detector, was designed to help address a critical healthcare challenge: identifying medications that may cause harmful psychological side effects when a person’s body cannot properly tolerate them. By helping users better understand and monitor their medication usage, MediGuard Detector aims to reduce the risk of adverse reactions and complications from incorrect dosages.

As a result of his outstanding achievement, Sean has earned a spot at the National Invention Convention, currently being held in Dearborn, Michigan, where he will represent Quest Academy alongside some of the nation’s most innovative young inventors.

We are incredibly proud of Sean’s creativity, ingenuity, and commitment to using science and technology to improve people’s lives. Congratulations, Sean, and best of luck at Nationals!
