As Labor Day weekend approaches, we recognize the dedication and contributions of workers in our communities and across the country. 💜

In observance of Labor Day, Brightpoint offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, and will reopen during regular business hours Tuesday, Sept. 8.

We wish our staff, families, partners and communities a safe and restful Labor Day weekend!

Our center needs kitchen staff! We are looking for someone who can manage our kitchen, proportion snacks, organize lunch trays and manage any allergens. No previous cooking experience is required and we need someone who can communicate in English, as we are limited on bilingual staff.

Head Start programs don't serve children in isolation. They're part of the communities families call home.

We’re grateful to the Chicago Tribune for covering the potential impact of proposed rule changes to Head Start. Brightpoint operates six child & family centers in Illinois providing Head Start and Early Head Start services, which include free child care and wraparound support services for families with low incomes, as well as home-based Early Head Start in nine counties.

The story includes perspective from Brightpoint CEO Mike Shaver and also powerful words from Wendy Mamola, one of our most passionate parent advocates to sustain Head Start for families.

"It made all the difference,” Mamola told the Tribune, talking about the impact that Brightpoint’s Head Start programming had for her family.
