We are grateful for three managers from Paintsville Wal- Mart. They donated the paint, came to our school, and painted our playground equipment. We are a small Catholic School who is grateful for these three men. Our community is the best!!!

Nestled in Paintsville, KY in the historic Mayo Mansion our small, family-centered school provides an exceptional education where students are known by name, nurtured with love, and challenged to reach their fullest potential.

Serving Preschool (Ages 3–4) through Grade 7, we combine rigorous academic standards with individualized instruction, allowing each child to grow at their own pace while developing the confidence to succeed. Our neighbors and sister school, The Piarist School, had a special guest visiting our community! After touring Paintsville Lake State Park and the Mountain Homeplace farm, our friends celebrated mass with Father Wheeler and the Sisters at the OLM Convent, shared a meal, and visited Lavender Springs Alpaca to see a local family farm and business.

It was wonderful to spend the evening together and show Fr. Marek our local community! What a blessing it is to work together in our area to share in fellowship and help our guests feel welcome.

It's the time of year to be thinking about where send your child belongs for the 2026-2027 school year! Consider Our Lady of the Mountains School in Paintsville, KY!!! Your child will develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually in an environment full of love. We partner with groups throughout the community, such as the Johnson County Public Library and the UK Extension Office to enhance and enrich our instruction, and are staffed by experienced, dedicated teachers who want to teach your children how to grow into capable, faith-driven people.
