Little Sprouts Playcare

I am honored to have spent the last eight plus years helping support, care, and educate so many kiddos and their families. I have watched 26 kids learn, blossom, and grow in my program, from rolling over, sitting up for the first time, crawling, walking, to their first words, to preparing many kids for school. I feel as though I have 26 kids, and each child holds a special spot in my heart.

As many of you know I have a degree in Elementary/Special education, and an opportunity came up to go back into my career. This decision was not an easy one, as I love what I do, and care so much about my kiddos and families. I know that I did all that I could do to make every day a day filled with love, support, fun, and learning opportunities. I hope they all know that Ms. Terra (what many called me) will always be here for them.

Little Sprouts last official day open was today. I will forever be greatful for these last eight plus years.

Watched the bean plants germinate in a jar with a paper towel water and sunlight. Then planted them in our garden to see if they would grow like our bean plants that started in soil.

We love the signs of Spring we find on our walks. So many birds, tree buds, flowers. We made bird feeders to help feed our little bird friends. We practice our cutting skills by labeling parts of a flower, then we colored them.

The kiddos are loving all the construction projects in the neighborhood. They were very curious about Ms Terra's driveway. Entertainment all day...we talked about what they were doing and about all the different tools, and vehicles. They had a great day. Then a week later trees being cut down. They loved watching the bucket truck move all around.

We have been talking about helping others, so today we helped some neighbors with spring yard clean up. We also talked about Earth day. Earth day is April 22. They all loved it and were trying to be quiet so they didn't see us. So they could surprise the neighbors. Then we enjoyed the sunshine and played with sidewalk chalk.
