🫖Fifth graders at Maple Elementary School celebrated their hard work as writers with a “Spill the Tea” Personal Narrative Publishing Party! Students enjoyed tea-party treats while sharing the personal narratives they worked hard to plan, draft, revise, edit, and publish. It was a fun way to celebrate their growth as writers and give them an authentic audience for their stories!🌟

October 2nd was Custodian Appreciation Day, but we appreciate our incredible custodial team every single day!

Our custodians work year-round to keep our schools and facilities clean, safe, and looking their best. Their hard work often happens behind the scenes, but the difference they make can be seen throughout every building.

Thank you for your dedication, your hard work, and for showing Painesville Pride in every detail! ❤️🖤

On Friday, October 2nd, Harvey students had the opportunity to participate in a sneaker pitch challenge facilitated by Dominique Waters from the Akron Sneaker Academy. Students learned about the design process and marketing process of sneakers and had a chance to design their very own sneaker collaboration that solves a real problem.

The students pitched their designs at the end of the challenge to a panel of judges to practice their communication skills.

We would like to thank Jessica Dragar, Marissa Wilson, and Elizabeth Clymer from the Young Entrepreneurship Institute for their help facilitating this incredible workshop for our students. Another special thank you to Jaclyn Iarocci, Marianela Serrano, and Julia Cross from the Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum and Rhonda Schnipke and Kristine Meldrum from Avery Dennison for their help making this all possible.

Our students worked incredibly hard on their sneaker designs and came up with very creative and inspiring stories that they pitched to the judges.

Special shout out to AWT for organizing this amazing event year after year and to Perry High School for hosting this year's event.

We’re proud to see our students exploring their options and building connections that can help shape their futures! ❤️🖤
