The Winning Edge – Women in Leadership Blog
To all of the women who have gone before us, to those who have been the pioneers, the Joan of Arcs, the revolutionaries and the evolutionaries, this blog is dedicated to you with all of our gratitude and appreciation. We will never forget your sacrifices. I was fortunate to have received a multimillion dollar education and experience while working for a
Fortune 20 company. I will share my experience and education with you. This blog is for all of us to share our experience, our knowledge, our wisdom, our practices, our tools and our passion for the purpose of supporting more women in leadership positions. The world is waiting for a new type of leader, one who…
-can create harmonious balance between profit and people;
-has the awareness of our connection to the environment;
-would rather build relationship than compete;
-knows how to win together;
-sees how together we can change the world. The Dalai Lama has said, “The world will be saved by the western woman.”
I agree with his statement understanding that the term “western woman” is, to me, an analogy for women anywhere who have greater access to education, opportunities, resources, professional careers in any field, and the freedom to pursue them. Women innately have strong intuition, bias toward collaboration versus competition, passion for winning as a team, internal strength and stamina, vision, attention to detail, and a perseverance to success gained through generations of suppression, repression and endurance. Purpose:
To support women in pursuing and gaining positions of leadership in their chosen field. Vision:
A world of peace, harmony and balance where each person is honored and respected for who they are and what they contribute to their society and their profession. Mission:
Through this blog, reach and prepare more women to embody the leadership roles they were born to assume.
