๐Ÿ’› Summer break may be here, but we never take a break from appreciating the incredible people who make our schools great! Here's a shout-out for Tiffany and Keith Candelaria at Pagosa Springs Middle School:

"I wanted to take a moment to send a huge โ€˜shout-outโ€™ and express my genuine appreciation for the incredible work Tiffany and Keith Candelaria do here at Pagosa Springs Middle School. Navigating the world of 7th and 8th graders requires a unique blend of patience, humor, and gritโ€”and somehow, you two make it look easy. Whether youโ€™re guiding them through the academic challenges of the classroom or pushing them to their limits in sports, your impact is undeniable."

๐Ÿ‘ Thank you, Tiffany and Keith. Our school community is stronger because of you!

Pagosa Springs Middle School Change Makers are putting their learning into action! ๐Ÿ’›

PSMS 6th-grade students recently shared their learning during the schoolโ€™s annual Change Makers Convention, highlighting the social and environmental issues they care about most. The project encourages students to build compassion, explore diversity, and strengthen their connection to their community and environment.
Students researched causes and solutions related to topics such as pollinator protection, recycling, sun safety, gender equality, the war in Ukraine, and colonization. One group even created an app designed to help people quit va**ng. (Check it out at glorious-breathe-free-path.base44.app)

The Change Makers class will also host a bake sale benefiting Rugby's Rescue on Wednesday, May 20 from 11:15 a.m.โ€“12:15 p.m. (and possibly after school) in the middle school courtyard. Last year, students raised more than $250 to support rescued puppies in the area. Stop by to support a great cause!
