PATC is excited to offer a Summer Camp opportunity for students currently in grades 6–8 (including current 8th graders/incoming freshmen). This is a great chance for students to explore hands-on learning, career pathways, and fun activities at the Innovation Hub!

We are excited to announce the second year of the CTE Summer Academy at Paducah ATC! This program is designed for current 7th and 8th-grade students, providing them with the opportunity to explore various career pathways at the Innovation Hub. Participants will engage in hands-on activities in carpentry, welding, auto technology, and health science.

The academy will take place from June 3rd to June 5th, running each day from 9 AM to 12 PM

Mr. Cory Polsgrove, Mr. Tyler O’Brien (SkillsUSA Advisors), Mrs. Kristina McDowell, and Ms. Melissa Stewart (chaperones) traveled to Louisville, KY., with 25 students for the SkillsUSA State Competition/Conference.
SkillsUSA equips students to become skilled professionals, industry leaders, and respected community members.
The competition consists of various skilled and leadership competitions. The following students competed:
Will Denkins, Landon Perkins, Owen Schmidt, Ash Triplett, Gavin Vance, Brody Ransom, Jaxon Potter, Will Hughes, Desmond Turner, Kip Siener, Kase Siener, Gatlin Rasche, Atleih Nichols, Emma Campbell, Alexis Cornwell, Jonathan Desantiago Rios, Jermonie Mounday, Logan Walston, Ethan Burdette, Elijah Johnson, Devin Moore, Josh Penrod, Alex Smith, Jack Wood, and Curk Holland.
The Paducah ATC serves students from Paducah Tilghman High School, McCracken County High School, St. Mary High School, CCA, and home-schooled students.
The following students placed in their competitions:
Will Denkins – T-Shirt Design – 2nd place
Landon Perkins – Related Technical Math – 2nd place
Ash Triplett – Debate – 3rd place
Jaxon Potter – Debate – 3rd place
Gavin Vance – Carpentry 1 – 3rd place
Gavin Vance – Construction Tool Identification – 2nd place
Owen Schmidt – Job Skill Demonstration – 1st place

Owen Schmidt's first-place win allows him to compete in the Nationals in Atlanta, GA., this summer.
All the students worked hard and did an exceptional job in their competitions! They are all winners, and everyone at the Paducah ATC is proud of their effort and commitment!

*Thank you to the local IKORCC for hosting the students on Wednesday evening. They provided pizza, and the students were able to tour the campus. We appreciate their generosity.

*The staff at the Paducah ATC and the SkillsUSA student members would like to express our gratitude to Ingram Barge for their generous donation and support for the state competition. Their assistance made a significant impact on the students participating in the event. We genuinely appreciate their ongoing support.
