MSU Paducah lost one of our very best “employees” this week—Callie. ❤️
If you’ve ever visited the Paducah campus, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Callie making her rounds, keeping a watchful eye on things and offering her calm, comforting presence to anyone who needed it.
Callie was a semi-retired certified therapy dog and the beloved companion of our Academic Advisor, Melanie. Over the years, Melanie and Callie brought comfort, joy, and countless smiles to so many people through their visits to schools, hospitals, nursing homes, libraries, and so many other places. The list goes on and on.
Callie was truly a special soul. She had a way of making people feel welcome, cared for, and just a little happier simply by being there.
She may have had four paws, but she was very much a part of the MSU Paducah family. We are grateful for all the love and joy she shared with our students, faculty, staff, and community.
Callie will forever be a part of some of our very best memories at MSU Paducah. She will be deeply missed. 🐾💙
