What’s going on? Not a lot here in Florida but at my age that suits me fine. This page of ours is unpredictable as sometimes I can post stuff and other times I can’t even find it on facebook. March is Spring Break and March Madness basketball, both UK and Murray State lost in the first round of the tournament. If you feel like posting any news or message to classmates please feel free to use this page, we all love Paducah and also love hearing from lifetime friends.….. Mutt

Haven’t posted in a while. This is Mutt. Time marches on. I turned 85 on Valentine’s Day, so far no different from 84. I screwed up the Christmas season on December 16 when I stepped on a pine cone and twisted my ankle badly and the fall on the asphalt fractured my elbow. Was at home for 6 weeks but am now out and about. Some guy ran a Stop Sign and crushed the left rear of my car 2 weeks ago, car in shop and driving a rental until March 8. The fall and the accident could have been worse and I am thankful they were not. Brighter days ahead hopefully. Didn’t mean to sound like I am complaining, I am not. I have been blessed in so many ways and am thankful for the life I have had. Wishing and praying all ATHS 1955 grads and families are in good health and thriving.

Donna Peyton has posted that ATHS Class of 1955 will have a reunion in Paducah on September 24, 2021, at 4pm, at Noble Park Pavilion #16. Donna is on Facebook and requesting addresses for Franklin Moody, Bette Miller Smith, Elaine Fraiser Farrell, L C Blythe, Shelby Anderson Harris, Thomas Preston Rudolph, Sara Sheldrup Mills, Jack Benson, David EIchenhofer.

We all miss Dick Roberts who was the “go to guy” in planning our class reunions. I have seen a couple of posts on my page from Donna Karnes Peyton who is on the reunion committee and talk of a possible reunion this year, maybe in late September during Paducah’s BarBQ on the River. If the rest of you are like me, my mind an heart tell me I am all for us getting together this year but my old, tired, abused body could possibly have a say-so in this decision. Here’s wishing all of ATHS 55 a wonderful summer and good health. God willing, we will meet again.

Richard Cornelius Roberts died March 25, 2021. He was born in Paducah, on November 7, 1937. His parents were John Baldwin Roberts and Emily Beaufait Roberts.

Sad to post that I just learned that Dick Roberts died today in Paducah. Dick was the planner and “go to” guy in Paducah who organized our many reunions since 1955. A fine and honest gentleman and my friend in school and church for 70+ years. We will miss you.
