Over the next couple months, the Uplifting Upsilon Iota Iota chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. has some major things planned.

First thing we have coming up is our chapter scholarships. We are fortunate to be able to provide 4 different scholarships for students in McCracken County who will be going to college in the fall. The deadline to apply for all our scholarships is Aug. 2, 2026! DO NOT MISS IT!

Next thing our chapter has coming up is our Clarence “Big House”Gaines Golf Scramble. The event will be one of the many events of the 8th of August Weekend. The cost to participate is $300 per team and $20 per Mulligan. You can also sponsor a hole for $200 as well. The Golf Scramble will be on Aug. 7, 2026 at the Paxton Golf Course with a tee time at 8:30am. The next day, you will find us at the Robert Coleman Park for our annual Youth Tailgate.

We can’t wait to see the city come out in support and please reach out to our chapter President Kenneth Hurt if you have any questions and concerns.
