Congratulations to Serenity Strother as she performed with Rustbelt Radio in the finals of Wetzel County Idol on Friday. Wildcats still making music!

After many incredible performances, it all comes down to this. The Grand Finale of Wetzel County Idol takes the stage tonight at the historic Lincoln Theater in New Martinsville … and one of our finalists will be crowned the next Wetzel County Idol! The winner will receive $3,000, and a slot at the 2026 Back Home Festival!

Doors open at 6 PM and the show begins at 7 PM, so come early and get your seats for a great night of music and hometown talent.

These finalists have poured their hearts into this competition, and tonight they leave it all on the stage. Who will rise to the moment and take home the title? There’s only one way to find out.

Join us tonight, vote for your favorite, and be there when Wetzel County’s next star is crowned.

Aaron Trader is a part of the WVU Symphonic Band. They had an amazing concert back on February 23rd. Wildcats still making music!

We had the opportunity to hear the WVU Wind Symphony on Friday evening. It was an amazing concert. Proud to see 2 Paden City alumni performing with the group. Isaac Beverlin and Isaac Price are members of this excellent ensemble. Excited for their opportunity to travel to France this summer to perform with the WVU Wind Symphony. Wildcats still making music!!

WLUF Scholars Spotlight - Aaron Thorn

Today's Scholar Spotlight features Aaron Thorn from Paden City, West Virginia. Aaron is the recipient of the C. Tim Meighen Music Scholarship.

"Receiving this scholarship has impacted me here at West Liberty University by allowing me to continue my studies at the university. It is aiding me in becoming something I have always wanted to be, that being a music teacher."
