Hello Mat Cat Nation, Coach Shreves bringing you some over due news on the cats wrestling team. Last Saturday the Cats traveled to Cameron for a very intense tournament. The competition was fierce with teams like East Fairmont,Cameron,Doddridge,John Marshall to name a few. As you all know our cats never back down from a match and while a couple of our wrestlers are still trying to find their groove or mojo they give me all they have. at 106 Jack went 2-1 on the day, Kaden went 1-2, Jacob is still on the hunt goin 0-2 and Brady went 1-2.

Hello Mat Cat Nation Coach Shreves back again giving you some updated news. Wednesday the cats traveled to Wahama for a quad with Doddridge, and Chapmanville. Chapmanville was unable to make due to transportation issues so Hundred and Paden City was divided up to make the quad work. The Cats showed great improvement since their last outing at Union Local. More wrestlers puting points on the board some making it to the third period. Kayden Harn our 113 had a great showing pinning both of Wahamas 113's and almost put away Doddridges as well. We are out of action till the first of the year. The wrestling team will be hosting Breakfast With Santa Saturday December 17th at the High School starting at 9AM there will be activities for the kids and a chinese auction for the adults fun for everyone. I heard the Grinch will make an appearance as well so come out and support our wrestling team. Remember when life takes a shot at you sprawl back spin around and pin it down.

Hello Mat Cat Nation Coach Shreves here giving you the latest mat action. Saturday December 10 the cats traveled to Union Local to wrestle against some great teams such as University, Parkersburg South, St Clairsville, Barnesville, and Coshocton to name just a few. In the past i have said we win or learn, and we did a lot of learning this weekend and growing as individuals and as a team. Our 106 showed us to never give up against adversity as Jack was down 14 to 4 in the second period and he capitalized on his opponents mistake pinning him. The rest were not as lucky but showed promise as to what the future may hold for the team. We hit the mats again this Wednesday as we travel to Wahama for a quad meet. Remember when life takes a shot at you sprawl back spin behind and pin it down.
