A huge thank you to our Packwood community businesses and first responders who serve our community. Tuesday, PLC Preschool visited Tatoosh Market, Blanton's Grocery, Cruisers Pizza, The Mountain Goat Coffee Company, Airstream Ice Cream, and Packwood Fire Department; our program takes community seriously, we hand-delivered a special magnet from our littles and told everyone, " Thank you for servicing our community. The last two weeks have felt like a sprint! We've been moving and grooving into Summer.

And that's a triumphant finale! Today, we honored our youngsters with a remarkable milestone celebration, marking their phenomenal progress. Our children achieved incredible social-emotional, academic, and behavioral triumphs this year. Two of our squad are moving on to kindergarten; we are immensely proud of Scottlyn & Leo, and their kindergarten teachers will be blessed to have them. Sharing this momentous occasion with our family and classmates is a perfect culmination to an extraordinary year!

It's meet and greet time! We have two dates and locations to choose from. Come meet teacher Bonnie and inquire about the Packwood Learning Community Preschool program. We are excited to bring in more students into our program for our 26/27 school year. She is more than happy to answer your questions about our program. We have some open slots available for ages 2-5 in our program for Fall 2026. Meet Miss Bonnie at either Packwood Timberland Library on May 12th at 12:30 or Mountain View Timberland Library on May 13th at 1:30. She is ready to meet your Little and make a connection with you and your family.

Today is a day of celebration
for us! One of our Littles has a birthday 🥁🥁🥁 Happy 3rd Birthday to our THEO! Theo is the best boy, with the prettiest blues and the brightest smile. Theo loves his school and his friends. Theo has been an extra in our program since he was an infant, attending with his big sister Caroline. He has celebrated his birthday in our class every year, but he's officially a PLC student now and proud of it! Theo has a kind heart, big spirit, and loves being part of the gang and all the adventures they share daily. We wish Theo the best day ever. We think you are the coolest T. rex, little buddy!

Our program is truly blessed with a magnificent board. I asked for a few days each year to observe other preschool programs. Yesterday I had the pleasure of being welcomed to observe Sol Shine's outdoor program in Yakima. I'm so glad I made a friend in Maddie, she's a magnificent instructor for Sol Shine Nature Preschool. I can't wait to have lunch with her and talk shop. Keeping ideas, connections, and relationships fresh can only make our program stronger. Again, a huge shout-out to our amazing board for supporting my teaching enrichment journey for the benefit of our Little’s.

Earth Day brought out the best in each of us today! In the last two weeks, we have embraced bees! Their life cycle, honey-making abilities & their importance to our way of life! Bees are the perfect segue into Earth Day! Today, we made our own little perfect Earth. Environmental education starts young; we do
our best to teach our littles about the world we live in.
