Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center welcomed students to their first Powwow of the school year! 💜

The event officially welcomed students to the school community while introducing school expectations, the school motto, and four character values: Be Curious, Be Respectful, Be Patient, and Be Caring.

Students also joined in singing some familiar songs, helping make the first Powwow a memorable start to the school year.

Kindergarteners at Coleman Elementary have been working hard on their cutting skills, and they are officially scissor-certified! 🤗

Meet MVR-III alum Brent Batcheller, Class of 1993. 🎓

Brent is an educator at Rockwood Summit High School, where he teaches social studies. He is most proud of achieving National Board Certification in Teaching and earning the President's Council Award for Sports, Nutrition and Fitness.

Brent says his time at MVR-III was shaped by caring staff who worked to build lifelong relationships and the numerous extracurricular programs that helped prepare students for life beyond high school. Whether he was participating in choir or competing as a three-sport athlete, one program in particular helped inspire his career in education. Through Hi-Step, Brent and other students visited elementary schools to work with younger students on making healthy choices.

His advice for current students: Get involved, stay involved, take risks, and you'll find a new passion.
