Today at Pali Pres, teachers and students alike were treated with a holiday-themed puppet show to get into the spirit of the season. Featuring lovable characters like Santa, a juggling elf, an ice-skating snowbird, and a baby reindeer, the marionettes had the children riveted from start to finish.
❄️❄️❄️
The show prompted many conversations throughout the rest of the day as the students recounted the characters they liked best, connected the show with stories of their own holiday traditions, and related the theme of the show back to our classroom curriculums—which have centered around winter experiences and the holidays as of late.

As our Fall season begins to come to a close, all of us at Pali Pres are reminded how grateful we are for the last couple months we’ve shared full of creativity, exploration, and connection. Our schoolwide highlights include our Pancake Breakfast, our field trip to the local pumpkin patch, our Halloween Parade and class parties, and most recently our Thanksgiving Feast.
Thank you so much to all our Pali Pres families, teachers, and little ones!!
Swipe to see some of our fondest memories this season! 🍂🍁

This week at Pali Pres, we spent a week preparing our campers for the Olympics. Much like the actual Olympics, we prepared the Olympic flame and set up various games for the campers to participate in. At the end of the week, we presented the children with their medals celebrating their triumphs and collaboration of this week!

And just like that, another school year comes to an end. We are so happy that we ended our school year and welcomed the summer on a beautiful sunny day. It was the perfect weather to spend our annual end-of-the-year picnic with all of our Pali Pres families. Thank you to all our families for another successful school year!

As we are wrapping up the school year, our teachers capture these sweet moments of the children working and playing together at school. Many of the children come in as strangers getting to know their routines and their peers. By the end of the school year, we relish the moments when we see the children arrive at school ready for the day and playing alongside their peers. We're not ready to say goodbye!

🌎 Happy Earth Day 🌎
Here at Pali Pres, we are blessed with a beautiful yard where the children can notice the change of seasons through the changes in our plants, flowers, trees, and of course the arrival of different insects. This provides a perfect opportunity for us to show the children how to respect and tend to our environment and keep our school looking beautiful.
With the changes of the seasons, our beautiful fig tree drops figs every day and the children often implement the dropped figs into their play; such as these children creating a bountiful feast with just figs and other natural materials. It just goes to show that you can make something out of anything.

Parent involvement in the preschool is essential to support a child's development in school. One way many of our Pali Pres Families involve themselves in our school is by becoming a Mystery Reader.
When parents sign up to become a Mystery Reader, the children wait in anticipation as they guess who the reader could be. Once the Mystery is revealed the children feel a sense of pride and excitement to show their families their classroom!

It's been a month since the children at Pali Pres returned from Winter Break, and we've all settled back in and are back to our regular schedule and routines.
One of our many routines is playing up in the Big Yard with our Outdoor Classroom teacher, Ms. Naz. She'll be often seen greeting families in the yard, reading stories with the children, creating fun art activities and woodworking activities. If you see her walk by, give a friendly hello!
