We had the honor of hosting Yousafzai at Seven Arrows, and watching her speak to our students about ethical leadership, ambition, and pursuing values-driven work. The questions our kids asked showed they’re already thinking like changemakers.
This tremendous opportunity came to us suddenly, bringing her vision and inspiration to our community.
Seven Arrows is proud too continue engaging with leaders from around the world with the aim of empowering our students to become actors in their own future, inspiring hope through action.

This morning at Kuyam, we were treated to something truly special! A live jazz performance and demonstration with guest musicians Felix Pollard on drums, Del Atkins on bass, Melvin “Maestro” Wellington Lightford III on piano, and our very own amazing music teacher Norma LaTuchie on flute.
Our kindergartners took the stage and sang ‘Take the A Train’ backed by this incredible band. Kids danced, grooved, and soaked in the magic of authentic jazz.
The musicians spoke about improvisation and how the freedom to create and go with the flow carries into every area of life.
Rain or shine, our community always shows up in full spirit. Last Friday’s rainy skies brought Kuyam indoors, and what unfolded was a truly beautiful and unforgettable Asian Heritage Celebration.
Our community was transported by two extraordinary performances: a Gamelan ensemble from Indonesia, filling the space with rich, resonant sounds, and a Korean dance ensemble, whose powerful movement and grace told stories without words.
The celebration continued with authentic savory foods, sweets and exotic fruits, generously prepared and shared by our volunteer families. It was a true feast for all the senses.
We are deeply grateful to every family who shared their heritage, their artistry, and their hearts. Moments like these remind us that culture is meant to be experienced together.

The Sola event this weekend was marvelous - a beautiful display of the resilience of the human spirit!
We are happy to announce that our partnership with Rosebud Academy in Altadena is strong! We’re excited to connect our Seven Arrows school in the West with this wonderful educational institution in the East of Los Angeles.
Special thanks to our very own Martin Muoto, whose leadership as director of the SoLA Foundation , along with team members Shirley Montalvo and Daniel Rosove, made this collaboration possible. Meeting founder Sonia Anand has cemented our commitment to support each other as equal colleagues.
It was a joy seeing our SAE alumni come out and support.
The BeeHive is a source of inspiration, a vibrant hub where the SoLA Foundation welcomed everyone and created this wellness and resilience event for families affected by the fires. With music, food, resource booths, and donations of furniture and supplies, the atmosphere was truly uplifting.
Our school was thrilled to contribute, through our partnership with , over 17,000 pieces of high-end garments from brands including Petite Plume, Hill House Home, The Who Shirt Company, Felicity & Coco, Sail to Sable, Brandy Melville, AGOLDE, Citizens of Humanity, and Industry of All Nations. We thank parent Mimi Levitas for her incredible collection of design long dresses and sweaters, to The Freedman family for the Jeans and to Mariel Parker for reaching out to her designers.
The strong unity of the Altadena community and the healing power of arts was evident throughout. We appreciate our administrators and faculty who dedicated their weekend to this meaningful event.
