On Lifeguard Appreciation Day we extend our thanks to those who serve our department in this heroic capacity of scanning waterways, rushing to aid, and saving lives while protecting our parks and the people who visit.

Happy World Ranger Day. Today, and all days, we honor and express our gratitude to our Rangers, who protect our parks, share our natural and cultural history, and wear the Stetson proudly.

Today we were delighted to attend the ribbon cutting for the new Historic Preservation Center within Asilomar Conference Grounds and Asilomar State Beach with California State Parks

Our new visitors have been checking us out through the office windows. A little later this season than last year, but spotted around the area the last couple of weeks.

We are so proud of the 36 Graduates! A big thank you to all the staff that trained and taught the group and those that may have covered shifts for them. We are excited to have them out in the field!
