Local friends and teachers: Monterey Bay Charter School is looking for a new Spanish teacher for 1st through 4th grade. Our dear Spanish teacher found a full-time position near her home and has notified us at this late date that she won't be returning. Please pass this info on to anyone that you know who might be qualified and looking for a great part-time opportunity to teach Spanish:
The position is 16 hours contact, 8 hours prep, M, T, W, F 11-3:05 and Thursday is off. Pay is commensurate with experience and education and is on the teachers' salary formula multiplied by percent full time. As an example, if someone has 3 years of teaching, no masters or Waldorf certificate, they would make $27,360 (60% Full-time).
