📣 NEW: Enhanced Screening and Faster Check-In for Daytime Schoolwide Events!

As part of our continued commitment to student safety, SSDP is enhancing our check-in process for large daytime, schoolwide events, beginning with our Boosterthon Fun Run on Friday, September 11! ❤️🤍💙

Here’s the exciting part: School Board Approved Volunteers will have a “Fast Pass” option for these events!

Think of it like a Disney Lightning Lane. If you have completed this year’s volunteer application and have been approved by the School Board, you’ll be able to RSVP in advance for major schoolwide events. We’ll verify your approval and have a pre-printed badge waiting for you in the main lobby or another separate sign in location. Show your state-issued photo ID, grab your badge, and head to the event!

Important: You do NOT have to actually volunteer at the event to take advantage of this! Completing the volunteer application simply allows us to complete your required screening in advance.

⏰ If you want to be approved in time for the Fun Run, please submit your application ASAP!

Our list for the September 10 School Board meeting must be submitted to the district by Tuesday, September 1. Because applications must first be screened at the school level, applications received after Wednesday, August 26 may not be approved until the October School Board meeting.

➡️ Download the Volunteer Application here:
https://5il.co/33ezp

Completed applications can be:
• Sent to school with your child
• Dropped off at the front office
• Emailed to Ms. Shannon Pritt at [email protected]

Already applied last year? Volunteer applications must be renewed each school year at each school where you wish to volunteer, so please submit a new application for 2026–27.

📅 Fun Run RSVP information will be sent Tuesday, September 1. The RSVP does NOT reserve admission, you can still attend if you aren't an approved volunteer or don't RSVP! You'll simply check in through the front office as a regular visitor and have your state-issued photo ID scanned through our standard visitor screening system.

Our goal is simple: keep SSDP safe and secure while making it as easy as possible for our families to be part of these special moments!

Please take a few minutes to review the graphics below for all the details and FAQs. Questions about this policy and process can be directed to Mrs. Felins at [email protected]❤️🤍💙

SSDP Parents and Guardians:

While our morning car rider line typically improves during the second week of school, we continue to observe issues that can be resolved by drivers following established procedures.

Please remember these requirements:

- Enter the car line from the designated direction only (refer to the entry map in the SSDP Back to School Guide)
- Wait your turn in line without cutting ahead
- Remain in your vehicle at all times
- Do not pass other vehicles while students are exiting
- Do not park and walk your child in (only exception: PreK)

Our car rider system has been refined over decades and functions efficiently when procedures are followed. We ask for your patience and cooperation during busy morning hours.

Important reminders:

If your child arrives late, please take responsibility for your timing.
Bus transportation is available as an alternative option if you are unhappy with our processes.
Our resource officer's presence should not be necessary to manage adult behaviors at the four way stop.

We appreciate your adherence to these guidelines and your respect for the safety of all students and families. Following these procedures ensures a smooth, safe start to each school day.

For questions, please contact Mrs. White.

Good afternoon Primary Patriot families,

We conducted a lockdown drill at school today as part of our regular emergency drill process as required by state law. We know that drills can cause possible concerns for our students and families, but we believe it is important for them to know exactly what to do in an emergency. Our drills enhance their safety. All students are safe, and this was a required lockdown drill. Thank you for your understanding and support.
