“Many hands make light work.”

I am so thankful for the staff who had the ability to come to campus today and volunteer to clean up our playgrounds, entrances, and reattached our blue privacy mesh to the fence. Pea Ridge has electric, water, a new roof is in progress over the cafeteria and our music room is being cleaned up and renovated. Classrooms will be cleaned and ready for Monday’s return!

I am thankful to the Pea Ridge community as we all are facing our own cleanup and repairs at home. From the bottom of my heart I want you to know how deeply grateful I am for you all! I am inspired by your resiliency and determination! Please continue to reach out to the school if needed, we are here for you! On behalf of our entire staff, we are looking forward to greeting our students and seeing their smiling faces on Monday.

We are resilient and better together! Chief strong! 🩵💙🩵

Thank you!

Pea Ridge Families,

I received the following message this afternoon:

“District staff have been assessing damage to sites and campuses in the impact of Hurricane Isaias. Based on the information we have, campuses will not be ready for the return of students and staff on Tuesday, October 13th and schools and district offices will continue to be closed. This includes all district and school sponsored activities, practices, and athletic contests. Crews will need additional time to complete the cleanup and recovery efforts at our schools and roads need to be clear and safe for school buses to run.”

Pea Ridge families,
I am so glad to hear from so many that our Chiefs are doing okay. Although there is no power and lots of trees and fences down everywhere, I am thankful for everyone’s safety. Possessions can be replaced, people cannot. As we face the cleanup in the days ahead, I want to share a few pictures from campus today. Our district is already executing the assessment of campuses and I met with an emergency response assessor at Pea Ridge this morning.

Our hardworking and dedicated district maintenance crew are heading out early tomorrow to continue to assess damage at all schools and coordinate repairs! I am so thankful to the many hands that will get us back online and ready to learn in no time. Stay tuned to our page for updates! We are PRE strong! 💙🩵💙🩵
