Good afternoon, Patriot Family,

Santa Rosa County District Schools has announced that all schools and district offices will remain closed on Tuesday, October 13, as recovery efforts continue following Hurricane Isaias.

All school-sponsored activities, athletic practices, and contests are also canceled.

The district hopes to reopen schools as early as Wednesday, October 14, depending on campus conditions, road safety, and utility restoration. The district will decide by Tuesday evening and notify families of any school-specific closures.

We know this has been a challenging time for many of our Patriot families. Please continue to take care of yourselves and one another as our community recovers.

Families needing assistance can call 211 (United Way) for available resources.

Patriot Strong,

Good evening, Patriot Family!

We hope all of our students, families, and community members are safe and recovering well from Hurricane Isaias with minimal damage to your homes.

As a reminder, Monday was already scheduled as a Teacher Planning Day, and students will not be in school. Santa Rosa County District Schools has now announced that all schools and district offices will also be closed Monday for all staff.

As soon as we receive additional information about school operations for the rest of the week, we will share updates with our families.

For now, please focus on taking care of yourselves, your families, and one another. We are thinking of our entire Patriot community during this time.

Stay safe, Patriots. Patriot Strong! đź’™

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE SUPERINTENDENT

My thoughts and concerns are with all our district family during this time. We hope that all of you are safe and healthy following the storm. Due to the impact of the storm, it has been decided that schools and offices will be closed on the previously scheduled Planning Day, Monday, October 12th. We hope this time allows for our staff to tend to families and your homes. This will also allow the district to survey damages and make any necessary plans and adjustments.

Plans for Tuesday, October 13th, and beyond will depend on information received about our schools and from our service providers and will be communicated later.

Again, our thoughts are with our school district family, and we hope that all of you are well. Dr. Karen Barber

Today, we want to thank all of our Pace High School coaches for the countless hours, dedication, and heart they pour into our student-athletes.

High school athletics are about so much more than wins and losses. They teach teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and leadership while giving students a sense of belonging and memories that last a lifetime. Our coaches play an important role in shaping our students both on and off the field.

Thank you for investing your time, building relationships, and making a lasting difference in the lives of our Patriots!

October is National Principals Month!

This month, we are proud to recognize and celebrate our very own Mr. Shell!

Mr. Shell has fostered a culture at Pace High School where family, tradition, community, and excellence are more than just values; they are the foundation of who we are as Patriots.

He leads by example, inspiring us to strive for excellence, take pride in our school, and honor the traditions that make Pace such a special place. Most importantly, he never lets us lose sight of what matters most: our students.

His genuine care for students and staff, dedication to our community, and unwavering commitment to putting kids first are what make him an exceptional leader. Under his leadership, Pace High School is more than just a school; it truly feels like family.

Thank you, Mr. Shell, for all you do for our Patriot family. We are grateful for your leadership and the pride you bring to Pace High School.
