PACE JR ROTC NAMED #2 IN THE NATION.
MILTON, Fla (July 26, 2026) From Pace High School..."Pace High School's NJROTC program has been named the 2nd Most Outstanding Unit in the Nation for 2026 by Naval Service Training Command (NSTC), earning one of the highest honors awarded to NJROTC programs nationwide.
The prestigious designation is part of the annual Naval Service Training Command unit awards program, which recognizes the top-performing NJROTC and Naval National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) units across the country.
"We are thrilled by this announcement and honored to continue adding to the legacy of our program," said 1st Sgt. John Baker, USMC, Pace High School NJROTC instructor. "We are always proud to represent our school and community at the highest level. I sincerely appreciate the support of our faculty, administrative team, parents, and community. This recognition is a direct reflection of the dedication, commitment, and hard work of our cadets, staff, and supporters."
Dr. Karen Barber, Superintendent of Santa Rosa County District Schools, congratulated the cadets and instructors on the national recognition.
"This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence demonstrated by our Pace High School NJROTC cadets and instructors every day," Barber said. "We are incredibly proud of this program and grateful for the positive impact it has on our students, schools, and community."
