Day 4 of New Cadet Orientation, and our cadets started the morning with PT, sharpened their drill skills, and spent time preparing for their upcoming promotion tests. They’re putting in the work to earn the rank of Cadet Seaman Apprentice, and it’s been awesome watching their confidence and teamwork grow each day.

Good luck to all of our new cadets as they take the next step—we’re excited to see them succeed!

Our new cadets spent Day 3 of New Cadet Orientation helping beautify campus by raking leaves and pulling weeds. From learning drill to serving their school, they’re already showing what it means to take pride in their campus and community.

Another day, another step forward.

Day 2 of New Cadet Orientation kept everyone moving with morning PT, more time building drill skills, NSU issue and uniform wear instruction, and a school tour to help our newest cadets get familiar with campus.

They’re putting in the work, and it’s already paying off.

Day One of NCO!!
Our newest cadets got their first look at life in NJROTC during New Cadet Orientation. They watched a flag detail demonstration, learned the basics of drill, got familiar with classroom procedures, and even jumped into some introductory academics.

It’s only the beginning, but they’re already taking their first steps toward becoming part of the unit. We’re excited to see this class grow throughout the year!

PACE JR ROTC NAMED #2 IN THE NATION.

MILTON, Fla (July 26, 2026) From Pace High School..."Pace High School's NJROTC program has been named the 2nd Most Outstanding Unit in the Nation for 2026 by Naval Service Training Command (NSTC), earning one of the highest honors awarded to NJROTC programs nationwide.

The prestigious designation is part of the annual Naval Service Training Command unit awards program, which recognizes the top-performing NJROTC and Naval National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) units across the country.

"We are thrilled by this announcement and honored to continue adding to the legacy of our program," said 1st Sgt. John Baker, USMC, Pace High School NJROTC instructor. "We are always proud to represent our school and community at the highest level. I sincerely appreciate the support of our faculty, administrative team, parents, and community. This recognition is a direct reflection of the dedication, commitment, and hard work of our cadets, staff, and supporters."

Dr. Karen Barber, Superintendent of Santa Rosa County District Schools, congratulated the cadets and instructors on the national recognition.

"This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence demonstrated by our Pace High School NJROTC cadets and instructors every day," Barber said. "We are incredibly proud of this program and grateful for the positive impact it has on our students, schools, and community."

We are honored to announce that our unit has been recognized as the 2nd Most Outstanding NJROTC Unit in the Nation for the 2025–2026 school year.

This achievement is the result of countless hours of hard work, teamwork, and dedication from every cadet, instructor, and supporter. Every early morning, every challenge, and every opportunity to serve helped shape who we are as a unit.

Thank you to our families, school, alumni, and community for believing in us every step of the way. This honor is more than a title—it reflects our commitment to excellence and the people who made it possible.
