Campus Security routinely does checks of campus buildings and property. This includes but is not limited to buildings-windows, doors and building alarm systems along with routine checks for fire and safety. These checks take place at alternating times in order to eliminate routine patrolling. While on patrol, security will approach and identify any/all individuals and/or vehicles within campus boundaries. Security patrol any new construction areas and buildings to insure the unauthorized entry of children and or adults. On occasion, a Security Officer will contact Tribal Police, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Services and Fire Departments for assistance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as Security has to communicate with patrons of SKC, police and write reports on incidents. SKC Security is a 24/7/365 program and a part-time position. The officer must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
