The past 2 days the Field Team has delivered food bags as part of the Asheville Dream Center's Adopt-A-Block. We deliver food and prayer!

0ver 100 volunteers from 5 churches packed 4000 bags of food for the Summer Feeding Program Asheville.

Yesterday the half of team sorted through donations at the Asheville Dream Center warehouse so that the items can be distributed more effectively.

We are on our way to Asheville! We will drive this truck there and leave it to be used by all the summer/fall teams.

We are happy to "announce" that we are part of the Convoy of Hope Field Teams. We will be leading mission teams from all over the US to Asheville NC. We will lead about 1 team a month until October. Then, we will see what is next!

Wow....an amazing week in Asheville, NC leading a team for Convoy of Hope. The Youth Leadership team from Freedom Center in Michigan rocked this week! One project was to take down the garage that separated from the shed in the flooding.

The local teacher was displaced and will lose her job for next year if she can't move back and get back into her house. Another team starts today working on her house.

This group deconstructed this entire shed in a little over a day. I suggested we march around it 7 times and then blow trumpets, but God used us in this manner this time.

Today was a day of tearing up tile and cleaning up the church flower beads.

"Our congregation began to work on the church because there was no commerce, no jobs were happening, it was just survival at that point." Associate Pastor of Crossroads Church where the Convoy of Hope team will be working today.

"People made signs to put in their yards that said, 'Thank you volunteers' " The church is what shone the brightest in these moments of recovery."

New ministry field for us.... We will leave Saturday to fly to Asheville, North Carolina to lead Field Teams with Convoy of Hope. We will be there one week to help rebuild and clean up areas that were greatly impacted by Hurricane Helen and other storms.

Convoy has several teams scheduled to go to this area over the next few months and we will help lead some of those teams.

We will post updates and pictures as we can. Pray for us, the team from Michigan, and the locals we will serve with.
