A new week, a new room setup! (Apples) “Play to learn”does not mean that our kids just play all day with no direction. Our room is set up with intention and purpose, and we are there to guide and ask higher level questions, which gets the kids thinking about their world and (hopefully) begins to foster a love of learning! They are counting, and sorting, writing out pie orders, patterning, and so many more skills!! 💕

Today was “Fine Motor Friday” and we utilized our pincer grasp to pick stickers off of their backing, which strengthens the muscles that we need for writing. So much learning going on while we decided on the patterns of our stickers and counted how many stickers we needed to cover our letter.

It wouldn’t be the first day without an “oops”, and I certainly did one!! In all the chaos of first day, I included Hattie in our “littles” group without remembering that we just recently celebrated her birthday!! Hattie is actually in preschool this year, and Emilie, I’m so sorry for the mix up!!🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
