Little Hands Home Childcare will be permanently closing as of Friday October 6 at 5:00 pm due to a change in careers and an amazing opportunity. Please read the following post...
WARNING: Long post 😊
13 years ago, God placed this business and ministry in my heart. Today it is with many mixed emotions that this chapter in my life is coming to a close.
Today, at 5:00 pm, I will send my kiddos on their way to other providers and I will be saying goodbye to some AMAZING families as I permanently close my home child care.
I am very excited for this next chapter in my life. I have been blessed with a new career and as a result I will be allowed to utilize the 9 years of schooling that I worked so hard at and I will still be able to use my ministry and make a difference in the lives of young people.
But I am also sad that I will not hear the "I love you Ms. Lissa's" and "Can I have a hug Ms. Lissa", and the appreciation from the parents, and SO MANY OTHER THINGS that are so rewarding in the child care field! I have been so extremely blessed over the last 13 years to have been able to make such a positive impact on our future generation!
I have also been blessed as I know that God has been in total control of my business the whole time. As I look back I can see all he has done to bless me! I had MANY families who took the extra time to bring their kiddos an extra 10 miles out of their way just so they could have a safe and loving place to take their kids! I was that safe and loving place and for that I AM GRATEFUL!!!
I was able to love on my niece for the first 4 years of her life, I was able to stay home with my own kids (although many times didn't get to spend time with them as I was busy loving on other peoples kids) and be here when they got home from school and in the Summer months and holidays. I was able to love on other peoples children and during my hard times draw from the love they gave me. I was able to learn how to be a responsible business owner and follow many rules and regulations that are sometimes extremely frustrating to a home provider. I cannot list all the blessings that have come from this job!
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL MY FAMILIES who have supported me and trusted me and loved me! THANK YOU to my own family who has supported me and many times put up with more than most families would put up with. THANK YOU to those who have been a helper all the years so that I could get my degree, have surgeries, have days off and so much more! THANK YOU TO MY LORD AND SAVIOR FOR ALWAYS BLESSING ME even in the trials of life and for always providing the best for me and my family!!!
As I close this chapter in my life and begin a new one, I pray that God's blessings will be on every one of my families and I pray that I will trust him and have the Faith I need to remember that, even when I feel He isn't answering or He isn't answering in the time I want, He is doing what is best for me in the moment!
Sorry for the long post but really, not sorry lol. I LOVE ALL OF MY SUPPORTERS and again, thank you for EVERYTHING!!!!
