New Simpson Hill is accepting applications for the position of Head Boys Basketball Coach. Duties include: Maintenance of equipment and uniforms for the boys basketball program, conducting a pre-season meeting with parents explaining expectations of conduct, appearance, rules, and consequences for the student-athlete, reinforcing the eligibility rules set forth by the district and conference, riding the bus to and from away games, and coaching the boys basketball team in all practices and games. All coaches are to conduct practice and games with the highest level of sportsmanship and ethics. Applications are available in the main office or online on the district homepage. Send application and resume to Rebecca Yandell, Superintendent, by June 16, 2026.

Congratulations to Mrs. Sanders on her LAST DAY OF SCHOOL… EVER!

After 27 years of dedication to New Simpson Hill School District 32, Mrs. Sanders is officially beginning her well-deserved retirement! She began her career in education in 1997 while working as a Teacher Aide at New Simpson Hill. After completing a Bachelor's Degree at Southern Illinois University, Mrs. Sanders began teaching at New Simpson Hill in 2002.

Thank you for your passion, commitment, and the countless lives you’ve touched throughout your career, Mrs. Sanders. We will miss you dearly. Congratulations on your retirement!

The third-grade students have been working on a one-of-a-kind hands-on writing activity by creating keepsakes to share with family and friends! Students learned about the writing process by turning their stories and artwork into bound books. We are excited to share pictures and artwork from our young authors.

Mrs. Huckelberry has done a wonderful job inspiring the students to write and express their creativity throughout this project. We are excited and eagerly anticipating the arrival of the students' treasured books this fall.

While we wait for the finished books to arrive in the fall, here is a sneak peek at the book!

We are so proud of the creativity, hard work, and dedication our third graders have shown. Congratulations to our young authors!

Students had the opportunity to participate in the after-school program “Canvas Art” with instructor Mrs. Carla Johnson. Students explored their creativity by painting, learning various artistic techniques, and expressing their individual styles. The students enjoyed the hands-on experience and were proud to showcase their unique artwork. Thank you to Mrs. Carla Johnson for sharing her time and talents with our students!

This project was made possible through funding from the Creative Learning Art Grant.
