The HEAD OF GROUP (formerly known as “Lead”) TEACHER will be responsible for the:
• Daily supervision of the children & classroom;
• Accommodating individual schedules and needs;
• Facilitating age-appropriate activities.

MONDAY -> FRIDAY
FULL-TIME hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm (with the possibility to adjust depending on candidate & schedule);

Required Experience/Qualifications:
Qualified HEAD OF GROUP TEACHER applicants must have:
• Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field; and,
• At least one (1) year experience related to caring for infants and toddlers.

- OR -

• Infants and Toddler Child Care and Education credential; or, Infants Toddler Child Development Associate credential; or, other Office-recognized credential specific to the infant/toddler developmental period; and,
• Two (2) years experience related to caring for infants and toddlers.

- OR -

• Child Development Associate credential; and,
• Two (2) years experience caring for children, one on which much be related to caring for infants and toddlers.

- OR -

• Nine (9) college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field with a plan of study leading to:
o Infants and Toddler Child Care and Education credential; or,
o Infant Toddler Development Associate credential; or,
o Other Office-recognized credential specific to the infant/toddler developmental period; or,
o Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field; AND,
• Two (2) years experience related to caring for children, one of which must be related to working with infants and toddlers.

• Familiarity with Bank Street/Montessori/Reggio Emilia methodology, a plus.

Oyster Babies Early Childhood Centers, in Long Island, seeks an Experienced Chef to prepare 80-100 meals daily. Other duties include, daily paper work and record keeping/production forms.

Must have a valid driver's license in good standing and car to transport food between Centers, as well as, be reliable, professional, and, fluent in English. And, we prefer residents who live within the Oyster Bay/Nassau County & Huntington/Suffolk County vicinity. Health Department Food Handlers certification is required to maintain this position. (The Center is willing to send new employee to course, if necessary.)

This position is part-time, Monday-Friday, year-round.
