3/1 Lantern Festival

Tangyuan(湯圓), rice balls, are a traditional Lantern Festival dessert made of glutinous rice shaped into balls. The circular shape of the dumplings symbolizes one’s family coming together (團圓).
Instead of in a sweet version, we have prepared the famous recipe with the variety vegetables in savory broth.

Lunar New Year celebration! We got the red envelopes, made gold（金元寶） dumpling, ate rice cakes（年糕）.

Yesterday was Chinese traditional teacher’s day教師節.The reason why is on 9/28 is because that it was the birthday of Confucius. During the day we practiced tea ceremony to present appreciation to our teachers.
