Join Beautify L.I. this Sunday 9/13 at Sunken Meadow, for the Audobon Society's 'Culture & Conservation" event, from 12-4pm, celebrating Latino Conservation Week!

And please plan ahead to come down to Gateway Plaza (near Home Depot) in Patchogue, on Saturday, Oct 17th from 9-11am, to support Save The Great South Bay's Creek Defender program.

So many wonderful people, so much to do... but when we do it together, it's really quite enjoyable & effective!

This pre-order will feature ecologically-valuable native trees and shrubs such as:
- Grey birch (Betula populifolia)
- Silky dogwood (Cornus amomum)
- Winterberry holly (Ilex verticillata)
- Trumpet honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens 'Major Wheeler')

Join us for International Coastal Cleanup day, with Friends of the Bay !
This event is a global volunteer effort to remove trash from our beaches, held every September! We will provide gloves, buckets and a limited supply of trash pickers. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own equipment.

Here are our highlights from week four of Summer Sanctuary Adventure Camp!

During Outdoor Olympics week, we created flags for our Olympic Opening Ceremony, competed against each other in various events like pool noodle javelin throwing. We also handled local wildlife and enjoyed some rain!

Volunteer with us this Saturday, August 29, to remove the protective string fencing around the shorebird nesting habitat!

We will meet at Stehli Town Beach at 9:30am. String fencing removal will take approximately 2 hours.

Please dress for the weather and the activity! Even though this event is on the beach, we advise that attendees wear hardy shoes like hiking boots, as well as long pants. Gloves may be provided if needed. Due to the nature of the activity, we ask that participants be 13+ in age.
