We’re moving the Gala — because 15 years of Legacy deserves more than one night.

The Legacy Flight Academy® Inaugural Scholarship Gala, originally scheduled for September 12, 2026, is officially being postponed to 2027.

And there’s a pretty special reason to be excited about what comes next.

2027 marks 15 YEARS of Legacy Flight Academy®.

So instead of simply choosing another date, we’re preparing something bigger, a special Legacy Weekend celebrating where we’ve been, the young people we serve, the people who helped us get here, and where LFA is headed next.

And yes, the Gala will be there.

Legacy Flight Academy® Inaugural Scholarship Gala
An Evening to Honor the Legacy. Inspire the Future.

We’re not giving everything away just yet.

For now, plan to save some room on your 2027 calendar. New date. More Legacy.

To everyone who has already purchased tickets, supported, shared, donated, volunteered or helped us prepare: thank you. Registered guests will receive additional information directly.

15 years is a lot of Legacy. We think it's worth celebrating properly.

Talent is everywhere.
Opportunity isn't always.

A student can have the dream.

They can have the determination.

They can be willing to work for it.

But aviation training requires resources.

That's why scholarships matter.

Legacy Flight Academy® is committed to helping deserving students pursue their aviation dreams and create a pathway toward becoming pilots.

Your support can help us reach more students.

Want to help fund the next aviation dream? Support our first ever Scholarship Gala. If you are able to attend, please register today and encourage your friends, family, colleagues, and social media networks to join you:

Sometimes the first barrier isn't ability.

It's believing that something is possible.

A young person may have the curiosity, the determination, and the potential to become a pilot—but they also need to see aviation as an option, have access to opportunities, find mentors, and receive support along the way.

That's why representation matters.

That's why mentorship matters.

And that's why creating pathways into aviation matters.

Legacy Flight Academy® is working to help deserving students see a future for themselves in aviation.

Share this post with someone who believes every young person deserves to see what's possible.

Representation can change the way a young person sees their future.

When a young person sees a Black pilot, they don't just see someone flying an airplane.

They see possibility.

They see a career they may never have considered.

They see someone who looks like them in the cockpit.

That's why representation matters.

Legacy Flight Academy® is committed to creating opportunities for deserving students who want to pursue aviation and become pilots.

On September 12, we'll gather to celebrate this mission and the people helping make it possible.

Since 2012, Legacy Flight Academy® has been creating opportunities for young people to experience aviation, expand what they believe is possible, and see themselves in the future of this industry.

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, we’re celebrating that work and investing in what comes next at the Legacy Flight Academy® Inaugural Scholarship Gala at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.

For more than a decade, LFA scholars have stepped into cockpits, flown aircraft, learned from aviation professionals, and been exposed to pathways in aviation, aerospace, and STEM.

Now, we’re asking our community to help us continue that work.

Join us for an evening celebrating our scholars, our mission, and the people who have helped make this work possible.

Attend the gala. Sponsor a table. Make a donation. Share our mission.

However you choose to support, you are investing in the next generation.

Every ticket helps launch a dream.
