The Marilou Padilla Gallardo Piano/Organ/Keyboard Studio, in operation since 1990, is based in Oxon Hill, MD with a large following of over ninety enrolled keyboard students from the metro Maryland, D.C. and Virginia areas.The studio specializes in private instruction in piano,electronic keyboard and organ from beginner to advanced levels. The studio accepts students from ages 4 to adult ages.

The emphasis of the studio is in the development of the keyboard performer to advanced stages of performing. Lesson programs are designed to meet the specific individual needs of each student.This includes a balance of method studies,theory,sight reading,technique and repertoire appropriate to the graded student level of proficiency of the student. Concert repertoire for study include classical,jazz,religious/gospel,Latin,Filipino and contemporary popular music.Studio concerts,recitals and other performance opportunities and venues are available for the benefit of the students. Saturday-7:30AM-7:30PM
Sunday-closed
Online instruction via FaceTime, Skype and GoogleDuo is also available

The studio was founded by Marilou Padilla Gallardo.As a noted educator and respected piano and organ instructor in the greater Washington D.C./MD/VA areas, Ms.Gallardo,owner and principal operator of the studio has been the recipient of multiple music awards and grants in student development and teacher excellence such as the 2003 Jordan Kitt Memorial Grant Award given by the Maryland State Music Teacher's Association. In 2002,Ms.Gallardo also founded the MPG Keyboard Artists and Friends,a non profit organization with 501(c)3 status sponsoring cultural and concert community events to promote awareness in the keyboard performing arts. In 2006, she was a member of an international jury of a piano competition sponsored by the World Pedagogy Piano Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, she is an active member of The Music Teachers National Association, The Maryland State Music Teachers Association, The National Guild of Piano Teachers and the Prince George’s County Music Teachers Association.

The recital performances are as follows:
“ SPRING MUSICALE 2025” @ 2:00 pm will feature piano performers from the elementary to intermediate piano division of the studio in favorite piano selections

“ AFTERNOON INTERLUDE “ @4:30 pm will feature solo performer Grace Stanback in an all classical piano program

“ AN EVENING OF PIANO MUSIC 2025”@ 6:30 pm will feature pianists from the upper intermediate to the advanced piano division of the studio featuring contemporary, jazz,popular , Broadway and classical piano favorites.

Very excited about our studio’s upcoming three major piano performances slated on JUNE 14: Saturday in a wonderful “ Celebration of Piano Music”at the John Addison Concert Hall, Harmony Hall Regional Center in Fort Washington, Md.

Join us for these three piano performances:

“ Spring Musicale 2025” is slated for performance @ 2:00 pm featuring the elementary to intermediate students of the studio.

At 4:30 pm , “ Afternoon Interlude” will feature Ms. Grace Stanback, longtime piano student of the studio who will perform an all classical solo recital program which we hope you will enjoy. She will be joined in performance in two of her numbers by guest violinist Mrs. Gabrielle Stanback- Satterthwaite.

At 6:30 pm, our upper intermediate to advanced division of the studio will perform in “ An Evening of Piano Music 2025”featuring piano favorites from Broadway musicals, movie themes , jazz, contemporary and classical favorites

Studio Update: We had a wonderful start of classes at our studio this fall season since the beginning of September! Just a reminder to all students that our fall break at the studio is from Sat:October 26 through Wed:November 6 with all classes resuming on Thurs: November 7 with normal business and teaching schedules.

Studio Update: Getting ready once more for the start of the fall season at the studio after a very busy summer of classes!!
We are now currently on a brief studio break.
All fall classes at the studio commence
on Friday, September 6 with normal business and teaching schedules. Here’s looking forward to another powerfully charged 2024-2025 piano school year at the studio🎹🎶
