On Thursday, September 17th, our school community honored grandparents with a special invitation to spend the lunch hour with their grandchildren on campus.

Smiles filled the lunch area and Pavilion as students spent quality time with their grandparents and special family members.

Looking forward to more special days ahead as we continue to celebrate our 125th Anniversary year.

Seven SCHS Seniors and Principal Palmisano attended the 21st Anniversary of the Los Angeles Catholic Prayer Breakfast at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Tuesday, September 15th.

This special gathering included the Rosary and Mass celebrated by Archbishop José H. Gomez, followed by breakfast and a presentation by Amy D'Ambra, founder and CEO of My Saint My Hero.

It was a beautiful opportunity to celebrate and grow in our faith.

Outstanding performance by our player #35 Mickey Ramirez tonight with 3 touchdowns and an amazing job on defense

Santa Clara pulled away in the second half on Friday to secure a dominant 31-6 victory over Hollywood. After a tight opening two quarters, the Saints broke the game open to remain undefeated at 4-0, while the Sheiks fell to 2-2.

Lockdown Defense
Santa Clara's suffocating defense continues to set the tone, allowing an average of just 7.5 points per game this season. The Saints have now won three of their four contests by at least 24 points:

Sept. 11: vs. Hollywood — W 31-6

Sept. 5: at San Juan Diego — W 50-10

Aug. 28: vs. JHS — W 34-0

Aug. 21: at FHS — W 31-14

Hollywood's Resurgence
Despite the loss, Hollywood remains in solid shape. The Sheiks have won four of their last six games overall, successfully rebounding from a four-game losing skid that stretched back to last season.

Up Next
Both squads host home games this Friday at 7:00 p.m. Santa Clara takes on Duarte, while Hollywood hosts Los Angeles.
