OGMS Silversmith Class

OGMS Silversmith Class OGMS Silversmithing Class OGMS Classes are held fall through spring in continuous eight-week sessions. Apologies for any confusion due to the re-purposed term.

Beginning Silversmith Class teaches the fundamental skills of silver jewelry fabrication, including torch soldering, piercing, filing, bezel setting and finishing. Intermediate Silversmith Class is open to students that have a solid basic skill set. The instructor teaches a variety of advanced techniques such as forming, prong setting and casting. Note: We actually teach goldsmith techniques, but since we only teach in silver metal, and don't want people to mistakenly think that we ever work in gold, we have chosen to refer to our program as "silversmith" classes.
