Props are necessary!
1. Support.
Props meet you where you are. They cradle the body so you can soften, let go, and feel fully held in each pose.
2. Safety.
With the right setup, joints are protected, strain is minimized, and your body can trust the practice—freeing the nervous system to relax.
3. Accessibility.
Every body deserves yoga. Props make the practice available to beginners, older adults, and anyone navigating injury, trauma, or chronic conditions.
4. Alignment.
Blocks, bolsters, and blankets bring the ground closer or lift the body higher, helping each person find their natural alignment without forcing shapes.
5. Depth.
When the body feels supported and safe, it can release defensive tension. This surrender allows the breath to flow more freely and the mind to rest more deeply.

🌕🌑 Full Blood Moon + Lunar Eclipse = Cosmic Realignment
This isn’t just a full moon.
It’s a plot twist in the stars —
A lunar eclipse pulling shadow into light,
A blood moon asking for truth over comfort.
Tonight is not for pushing.
Not for performing.
Not for manifesting harder.
🪞 It’s for witnessing what’s shifting —
And letting it.
Even if it’s messy.
Even if it doesn’t make sense yet.
At The Yoga Channel, we believe the body knows before the mind does.
So tonight, we rest.
We twist.
We breathe.
We let the eclipse unravel what’s no longer aligned.

This is a lesson I have been learning all my life. Society constantly tells us to operate in such a way to break us, and then punishes us for feeling broken. Repeat after me. "I am not broken!" You are whole, your aches and pains and mental health is a product of how you have been, but you're still WHOLE.

✨ Meet Sam ✨
Sam has been practicing yoga since 2019, and in 2023 she earned her 200hr certification right here at The Yoga Channel. 🌊
(And you can too! Dates Announced on Friday!)
Yoga — especially the blend of movement and breath — gave her the gift of peace in both mind and body. That transformation inspired her to share this practice with as many people as possible.
Her favorite styles to teach (and practice!) are Vinyasa Flow and All Levels Hatha Yoga. Whether you’re brand new or seasoned on the mat, Sam’s classes are designed to help you feel grounded, open, and at ease. 💜
