Blackstock Panthers Represent! 🐾

On Saturday, our Panthers had the incredible opportunity to attend a special event honoring civil rights leader Dolores Huerta. Our students showed up engaged, reflective, and ready to learn. They represented Blackstock with pride, maturity, and purpose.

We are so proud of the way our students carried themselves in that space. They belonged in that room.

This experience would not have been possible without the dedication of our staff. Thank you to the teachers who recommended students for this opportunity, to the chaperones who gave their time on a Saturday, and to the educators who worked with students during lunch throughout the week to help them prepare for this meaningful experience.

When adults invest in students, powerful learning happens beyond the classroom.

🎸✨ Blackstock KNS Rockstar Assembly

Blackstock students had an amazing time at the KNS Rockstar Assembly. KNS Rockstar promotes empowerment, commitment to learning, and positive values in a fun and engaging way.

Students enjoyed upbeat music, exciting dance contests, and plenty of fun giveaways throughout the event. It was a high energy assembly that left everyone feeling inspired and motivated.

Los estudiantes de Blackstock disfrutaron de una increíble Asamblea KNS Rockstar. KNS Rockstar promueve el empoderamiento, el compromiso con el aprendizaje y los valores positivos de una manera divertida y dinámica.

Los estudiantes disfrutaron de música animada, concursos de baile y muchos premios durante el evento. Fue una asamblea llena de energía que dejó a todos inspirados y motivados.

Blackstock Junior High was proud to welcome a strong turnout of current students, former students, families, community partners, and HESD & VCOE leadership at our recent Community Schools meeting.

The evening highlighted the power of community collaboration, featuring a special mariachi performance and meaningful conversations focused on expanding opportunities and supports for our students.

We are grateful for the continued partnership and heartfelt support shown to our school community. Together, we are building a stronger Blackstock for all students and families.

Blackstock Junior High tuvo el orgullo de recibir a una gran participación de estudiantes actuales, exalumnos, familias, socios comunitarios y líderes del distrito HESD y VCOE durante nuestra reciente reunión de Escuelas Comunitarias.

La noche destacó el poder de la colaboración comunitaria, incluyendo una presentación especial de mariachi y conversaciones significativas enfocadas en ampliar oportunidades y apoyos para nuestros estudiantes.

Join us as we review state test results, hear from the Port of Hueneme about Community Closet efforts, and learn about volunteer opportunities. Enjoy light snacks and a special performance by Mariachi Panteras.

This night is about you and the important role you play in shaping the future of Blackstock. We hope to see you there.

Students were recognized with Panther of the Trimester awards for being prompt, prepared, polite, and productive. These awards were teacher nominated and celebrate students who consistently demonstrate strong character and responsibility.
Common attributes among the recipients included leadership, being helpful to peers, kindness, a positive attitude, exemplary work, good character, intellectual curiosity, and being a joy to teach. Congratulations to our Panthers who continue to lead by example 💙🐾

Los estudiantes fueron reconocidos con los premios Panther of the Trimester por ser puntuales, preparados, respetuosos y productivos. Estos premios fueron nominados por los maestros y reconocen a estudiantes que demuestran constantemente un fuerte carácter y responsabilidad.

Blackstock 8th graders enjoyed a well deserved trimester celebration and were treated to a snack in recognition of their hard work.
