What would you tell future Miamians if you knew they'd read your words a century from now?
More than 100 years ago, students, faculty, and staff placed letters, keepsakes, publications, and personal messages inside a time capsule intended for future generations.
Among the contents was a letter from Elizabeth Hamilton, Miami's dean of women from 1905-1945, who reflected on Miami's future and the students who would one day follow.
Alongside a 1923 edition of the Miami Student, a Recensio yearbook, and letters sealed with wax stamps, the remarkably preserved contents offer a fascinating glimpse into life at Miami a century ago.

From Ohio's cornfields to Hawaii's coastlines.
Natalie Underwood ’23, PA ’25, spent six years at Miami University, first as an undergraduate and then as a member and class president of the inaugural Physician Associate Studies cohort. Today, she's beginning a fellowship in Hawaii, bringing with her the education, leadership experience, and commitment to collaboration she developed in Oxford.

Some dreams do come true ❤️🎓
From childhood photos in Miami gear to crossing the commencement stage as Miami graduates, Kathryn Berry and Eva Motta's journeys came full circle.
Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Miami's College of Arts and Science, continuing a three-generation Miami legacy alongside her grandparents and mom.
Eva earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Miami's College of Education, Health, and Society.
