February is officially Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month in Oxford, Alabama! 🎉

Last night, we were proud to recognize our CTE students at the City Council meeting and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and talent they demonstrate every day.

CTE programs at Oxford High School give students hands-on experiences that go beyond the classroom — helping them build real-world skills, explore career paths early, and even earn industry-recognized credentials. From advanced manufacturing and cybersecurity to healthcare, IT, energy, transportation, and more, these students are preparing for high-demand careers that strengthen our community.

CTE also plays an important role in connecting education with local business and industry needs, helping ensure a strong workforce and a competitive economy for the future.
We encourage everyone to learn more about the CTE programs here in Oxford and continue supporting the students, teachers, and industry partners who make them possible. The future is bright because of their hard work!

Last week our HOSA students had a fun and exciting day with DeArmanville Elementary students participating in the Care Clinic. DES students were able to explore a variety of careers through hands-on activities.

Oxford High School students had the opportunity to tour the JSU College of Health Professions and Wellness today. They got a firsthand look at the incredible programs offered and explored the simulation labs. Big thanks to JSU faculty for hosting us and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals!

Oxford High School’s Career Tech officers from HOSA, FBLA, SkillsUSA, and FCCLA participated in the Joint Leadership Development Conference today. Our students gained leadership skills and collaborated with each other to plan this year’s events.

HOSA partnered with LifeSouth yesterday to host a blood drive at the high school. We had a fantastic turnout with 142 registered donors and a total of 110 donations!! 🅰️🅱️🆎🅾️
