OHS Bully Busters visit OMS to spread positivity!

Before Christmas, the 7th-grade stagecraft class showed off the PHENOMENAL food dishes they made from non-perishable supplies such as sponges, paper, paint, foam, and the like. The assignment required the food to appear realistic from 15 feet away to audience members watching a performance.

They nailed it!!

Oxford Middle School students and staff returned to their penny war fundraising Giving Week this year! They chose to raise funds for the American Foundation of Su***de Prevention (AFSP). Today they held the culminating assembly and presented the organization with a fabulously generous donation of ✨$4,095.31!!!!✨

The choir sang of hope💙, and the orchestra played beautifully as the creative and informative student-made banners were paraded past students and staff. Lisa Mataway of the AFSP shared her heartfelt gratitude❤for the donation as she reminded the students they are loved and there is Always HOPE.

Mr. Bigelow spoke words of encouragement and wisdom to the students as they got ready to depart for the holiday break and the band closed the program with fabulous songs of the season🎼🎧! ❤💙💛

Recently DECA students Taylor Barnes, Drew Cady, and Riley Spurlock hosted a Career Fair in the OMS Media Center. Eighth-grade students traveled in small groups to hear presenters talk about banking, urban planning, business ownership, account managing, brokering, and business design.

There are still audition slots available for any student in grades 3 - 8 interested in being part of the OHS spring musical Little Mermaid. Slots were added for Dec. 1 auditions as well as the Dec. 2 slots. Go to https://ohsmusical.com/ to sign up.

This week during lunch, eighth graders attending the upcoming annual Washington D.C. trip picked up their sweatshirts and drawstring backpacks. The excitement is mounting!

Oxford Middle School Intro to Chinese class students used playdough in their lesson to "write" simple characters and basic strokes! Creative learning at its best!

Our Oxford Wildcat Dog Pack is coming along!!! Four pups have completed their extensive Therapy Facility Dog training and are now in our buildings every day!

By this spring EVERY district building will have its very own fully-trained therapy facility dog and the high school will have four.

The OMS Student Council plans its student body's weekly spirit days. They recently held a "Pink Out" theme to raise awareness for breast cancer. Way to go, Wildcats!
