Understanding distance, timing, pressure, and striking changes the way you understand grappling—especially when you’re looking at Jiu-Jitsu through the lens of actual fighting and self-defense.

Coach Mike breaks down his thoughts on incorporating striking into Jiu-Jitsu training, why it matters, and how knowing what happens before the clinch and before the takedown can make you a more complete martial artist.

🎉🥋 Happy Birthday to my coach, but even more than that, someone I’m proud to call a true friend! 🎂🎈

We’ve been to war together on the mats, traveled all over the country (and even Puerto Rico 🇵🇷) competing side by side, and made memories I’ll never forget.

I’m incredibly grateful for your support, your advice, and for always having my back. No matter where life took us—or even when we found ourselves on opposite teams or organizations—I could be anywhere in the country and still hear Big Ant in my corner coaching me. 📣💪 That says everything.

Because at the end of the day, we’re more than an organization, more than a team, and definitely more than politics. 🤝❤️
