Sunday Lunch returns THIS WEEK after its summer hiatus and we are looking for cook teams! Would you, your family, your church, your Bible Study group, United Women in Faith group, choir, bell choir, or other band of fellow friends be interested in providing a meal (or $$ for a meal) for our students this semester?

Join us for FREE ROOTBEER FLOATS this Thursday at the Outdoor Seal from 3:30-6:30!

We'll have rootbeer and other flavor options, ice cream, and time to listen to how your first few weeks of the semester have gone.

If you want you can then joing us for The Thursday Thing from 7-9 for a welcome back game night w/ FREE dinner. Just note we will be at Oxford United Methodist Church this week since there's an event at The Interfaith Center at Miami University this week. But we'll be back there on Sept 10!

How To:
Get to Sunday Service! Use this video as a guide on when and where to go for Sunday Service at OUMC. One Service at 10 am will be happening for the next 2 weeks. On September 20, it will switch to 1 Service at 8:30 and one at 10:30. Sunday lunch is always provided after the 10:30 Service. We look forward to seeing you all!

It's beginning to look a lot like FALL SEMESTER!!

Lyo Advocacy Lyo here is one of our amazing Wesley alumns and needs our help! They were set to leave for Boston to start law school and 30 mins before heading to the airport were hit by a car when the driver neglected to look both ways before entering the intersection/crosswalk where Lyo was crossing. 😱

While we give thanks that there were no broken bones, we lament with them that their power wheelchair (a critical component of their independence) was totaled. It will take a while to get a new customized chair. In the meantime they need a backup chair to get back on track and out to Boston.

Please consider a donation and/or sharing this GoFund me with your networks. At Wesley we are all about building an Authentic Community that supports each other both on campus and beyond. What an opportunity we have to show God's Radical Love here.

Also, if you didn't know, Lyo was Wesley's inaugural VP. Wesley is a registered student org at Miami University in no small part because of Lyo's dedication and hard work to get us there.

Wesley & Oxford UMC is hiring two graduate-student interns for the 2026-2027 academic year: a Church Intern and a Campus Ministry Intern. Please DM here or email Pastor Katie at college (at) oumc (dot) org to request either or both job descriptions to review. If interested the application link will be sent upon request.

The Church Intern position would be an excellent fit for anyone considering seminary after graduation or vocational ministry in the future.

The Campus Ministry Intern would be a great fit for anyone passionate about helping cultivate inclusive spiritual spaces, and learning about collaboration with higher education institutions.

Please help spread the word. These positions are open to any Miami student in their +1 year or registered in a Master's level program or above.
