As students deepen their understanding of numbers, they also begin developing statistical thinking. This institute explores how students learn to understand variability, analyze and interpret data, and conduct statistical investigations.

Through engaging activities, educators will explore ways to help students make sense of data representations, theoretical probability, and empirical probability, building the foundation for statistical inference and more advanced math and science learning.
