After a couple of days in Rome, 24 Miami students along with Professors Alan Ferrenberg and Norm Krumpe from the CSE Department have arrived at the University of Calabria in southern Italy.
Students will be learning about Technology and Ethics, and Knowledge Representation. This is the 7th group of Miami students to experience this study abroad, which was first organized by Professor Daniela Inclezan in 2014.

The CSE Department is very proud of all Miami Faculty who received Tenure and Promotion this year, but especially so of those hailing from our department!
Congratulations to Karen Davis and John Femiani on their Tenure and Promotion to Full Professor, and to Vaskar Raychoudhury for being granted Tenure! Great work CSE Faculty!
Promotion and tenure granted to 56 Miami University's board of trustees approved the promotion and/or tenure of 55 faculty members and one librarian at its Feb. 25 meeting. The actions take effect July 1, 2022.

Dr Giabbanelli was hosted by several French universities and engineering schools to develop new international partnerships. During 3 days at the School of Mines (IMT Mines Ales), he discussed a partnership to support international exchanges, both of students and faculty. And he has reminded his audience that we are not in Florida!

Students in CSE play a critical role in our research success. This article explores the involvement of graduate students from our department in ongoing research with faculty advisors Dr Eric Rapos and Dr Matthew Stephan. Aside from their contributions to the research successes, their involvement helps prepare them for careers both in and outside of academia.
