Drum day was a fun day for everyone involved!
We had a special guest show up….Bill Barker!
He had a great time and even told “I really DO like drummers now!”🤣 Great food, fun time catching up, and lots of drumming! If you didn’t make this one maybe we’ll see you next time! Go Big O!!!

Last minute reminders:
You can pay for your shirt and meal by cash or check (payable to OHS Band) $30. We will not have a card reader for debit/credit cards.
We’ll be outside all day and it looks to be a beautiful day. You might need sunscreen!🌝
The menu will be ribs, wings, shredded chicken for sandwiches, hot dogs, slaw and bbq beans.
And sodas, Powerade and water.
We crank up at 10:00, eat around 12:00, and stay as long as you want.(hopefully by 3:00!😅)

Drum Day is just around the corner!! I’m looking forward to a fun day of hanging out, drumming, eating good food and swapping stories (lies?😂)
The shirts are here, the food is being prepped, and Heath and I are working on some last minute details to make it a great day! Here are a few random bits of info:
We will be setting up in the area of the north end of the stadium(closest to the school), so park in the faculty parking lot in front of the main building.
Bring folding chairs if you have them. We’ll be eating in the same area. Closest restrooms are in the bandroom.
When you arrive we will gather and get organized. Then go into the bandroom and take drums, etc. to our set up area. Bring extra sticks & mallets if you have them. We will have some available also.
There is not a schedule for the day except for lunch around 12:00. Feel free to stay as long as you want or leave any time.
We plan to start at 10:00. Show up any time!
We will have a photographer so be prepared😁!

Good news concerning our upcoming Drum Day! We now have enough people registered so we can make our plans!
I will post details in the next few days. Keep the date on your calendar Saturday, March 21st.

ATTENTION ALL ALUMNI DRUMMERS!!

So far we only have a handful that have registered for the drum day on March 21st. If we don’t have at least 12-15 I can’t justify the cost of the food and screen printing the T shirts.
I’m setting the deadline of Monday, March 9th to sign up if you haven’t already. If we don’t have more names I’ll post the cancellation on Tuesday the 10th.

ATTENTION ALL OHS DRUM LINE ALUMNI!!
We are going to host a Sound of Champions Alumni Drum Day!!! Saturday March 21st a day to hang out, drum, eat ribs and wings, drum some more, tell stories, drum, tell more stories, talk about the good old days, and drum some more!!
Our pitmaster will be Charlie Birchfield (famous local celebrity chef). The cost is $30 per person and that will be for a great meal and a cool alumni drumline T shirt!
We’ll crank things up at 10:00 a.m. , eat lunch around noon, and wrap up at 3:00.
Rain or shine we will ready to have fun! More details to follow!
Please help spread the word if you know of someone that doesn’t follow this page!
I’ve attached a Google Form to get things rolling as far as registration to help with food planning.
P.S. We want to also include anyone that was in front ensemble (pit)!

Does this guy look familiar? Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Huddleston , Air Force (class of 2003). He spoke to our Hanna students today honoring our veterans in a special program. He did a great job!
