Mrs. Best's students are using "cheers" with names to help them learn and identify consonants and vowels. It's a fun, interactive way to practice letter sounds and reinforce early phonics skills!

We have a lot to be proud of in Benton Community School Corporation, and now there's a new place to see it all in one spot! Our new Better in Benton website highlights the ways we're growing, achieving, and making the most of our referendum dollars every day.

This week, we spotlight two new sections of our website:

“Academic Growth & Achievements” briefly explains Indiana’s learning assessments and Benton’s academic goals.

Our ”Making Cents” page offers a primer on Indiana school funding and addresses Benton’s commitment to managing taxpayer dollars responsibly.

This is just the beginning — we'll be adding new videos, stories, and updates throughout the year, so be sure to check back often!

Students in 5th grade worked on brainstorming vivid verbs and adjectives to describe different scenarios. They will use this skill to enhance their personal narratives!
