We have shared so many fun memories, and can’t express enough how thankful we are for all of the time and energy he has poured into CREATE Racing and Robotics!

Join us on Wednesday, September 16, at CREATE in Oxford (2-6pm) for a unique hiring event designed to connect employers with the next generation of talent and experienced job seekers—all in one location. The day will kick off with a CREATE student job fair, allowing employers to engage with students exploring career pathways. Then transition into a regional hiring event, bringing together job seekers and workforce partners from across the region.

Whether you are hiring or building your future talent pipeline, this event offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your company, set up onsite at CREATE, promote career opportunities, and connect with a diverse pool of candidates.

This morning we welcomed 19 CREATE staff members to begin our THIRD year of operations!

EIGHT school systems will be sending their students this year for the opportunity to take high-wage, high-demand career tech pathways not offered at their home school.

We had 7 adults on campus when we opened our doors for year 1 in August 2024.

We are doing it, building it, pushing limits, and closing the gap between students and their future careers in ways that have never happened.
New pathways for this year will be Aviation and Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics.

To CREATE something that you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something that you’ve never done. Every individual in this picture has committed to just that.✅

It was an honor to host the June Connect Calhoun meeting to give an update on CREATE, and tour newly elected officials. Thank you to Calhoun County, Alabama for ensuring these meetings are happening to allow for better communication among our communities.

SUMMER 2026 REGISTRATION IS OPEN‼️

FREE COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION CLASSES TO BEGIN JUNE 16

Registration is now open until June 10 for a FREE 12-week training program to be held in Oxford in the fields of commercial carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and welding for adults looking to pursue a career in the respective commercial construction fields.

🧰These classes are open to any adult 18+ desiring to begin a career in commercial construction at NO COST thanks to a grant from the Alabama Construction Industry Craft Training Board - CICT.

🛠️Classes begin the June 16 and will be either M/W or Tue/Thu from 5:00pm-8:30pm. This is based on instructor availability.

🪛Classes will be held at CREATE;
1 Cliff Garrett Dr. Oxford, AL 36203.

🛠️You will receive a phone call to the number you provide on or before June 10 if you are accepted or wait listed.

🧰Each class is limited to 15 students.

Earlier this week, more than 40 CREATE engineering, computer science, modern manufacturing, and criminal justice students repaired, sanded, and painted more than 20 picnic tables to help Cheaha State Park-Alabama prepare for the upcoming summer season at Cheaha Lake.
Thank you to Renee Rice and Robbie Ginn with R&R Travel Service for providing lunch, to community leaders Bruce Rice, Dennis Reeder, Leon Dean, and Cheyenne Rice, Cheaha’s assistant superintendent Robert Baske, maintenance supervisor Mike Waldrop, owner of Camp Mac, Allen McBride and his assistant director David Schmidt along with Oxford Lumber Ace Hardware and Talladega Ace Home Center.

Thank you to Alabama State Parks Foundation Board member Renee Rice for making this opportunity available for these students.
