Empowering Learners. Building Community. Inspiring Futures. https://www.oxfordschools.org We invite you to join us in that celebration.

Social Media accounts are used to celebrate our students and staff and support the great work that occurs at OCS. With that, posts must be lawful, and respectful, contain no profanity, and not easily identify students and/or staff in defamatory, abusive, or negative terms. Anyone not adhering to these guidelines may lose their ability to comment. Additionally, it is our practice not to allow tagging of the district accounts outside of our community partnerships.

We wrapped up our Summer Math Program at DA this week, and what a fun seven weeks it has been! Students explored the many ways we use math in our everyday lives while discovering engaging ways to make learning math fun.

To celebrate the end of the program, students turned in the money they had earned throughout the summer and used it to purchase items for their very own math kits. One student even took their learning a step further by designing a board game to play with their family centered on the concept of time!

A big thank-you to all of the families who joined us throughout the summer!

🌎💙 Check out this wonderful opportunity to welcome a new culture into your home while sharing your own. See the post below to learn more!

Hi Oxford High School Families,
We’re excited to share a unique opportunity to bring the world to Oxford—right from your own home.
Our school is welcoming international exchange students for the upcoming school year, and we’re currently looking for Oxford families willing to open their homes and hearts as host families.
Hosting an exchange student is more than providing a place to stay—it’s about connection, growth, and unforgettable experiences.
• Build lifelong friendships across the globe
• Share American traditions and community life
• Gain a new perspective on the world—without leaving home
• Create meaningful experiences for their own children

These students are carefully selected and come ready to be part of your family and school community.
They:
• Are 14–18 years old
• Speak English and are fully insured
• Bring their own spending money
• Are excited to join Oxford High School activities and community life
Host families provide:
• A safe, welcoming home
• Meals and a place to sleep and study
• Inclusion in everyday family life
You’ll also have support every step of the way, including local coordinators and 24/7 assistance.
If you’re interested in learning more, please see flyer.

P.S. There’s no “perfect” family—just a welcoming one. Families of all backgrounds make amazing hosts!

Early this morning, the unofficial combined election results from Oakland and Lapeer counties showed that Oxford Community Schools' Operating Millage Replacement Proposal was not approved by voters.

This is disappointing news for our district. The district administration and Board of Education will consider necessary budget adjustments for the 2027-28 school year. In addition, an operating millage proposal will be placed before voters again this November.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the election and for your continued partnership with Oxford Community Schools.

⚠️ Please note: The Oakland Press is expected to publish a story tomorrow with an inaccurate headline indicating that the proposal passed. The newspaper has informed us that a correction will be published on Friday. We apologize for any confusion this may cause.

Parker Weekley, an Oxford High School student, recently completed a sensory path at Daniel Axford Elementary as his Eagle Scout project with Oxford Troop 366.

With the help of fellow Oxford High School students and Daniel Axford alumni, Troop 366 leaders, family members, and friends, Parker spent the day installing a sensory path after fundraising for the materials needed to bring the project to life.

"This project is close to my heart because I attended this school when I was younger, and I want to help kids with disabilities feel more comfortable and supported in their environment," Parker shared.

Thank you, Parker, and everyone who helped bring this project to life. Your hard work will make a lasting impact on Daniel Axford!
